Self-published authors do not receive advances, but their royalties can reach up to 70% for ebook editions.Most traditionally published authors receive royalties in the 8-12% range for print copies of their book. It can go as low as 5% or even as high as 15% if, for example, you happen to be a bestselling author. A traditional publisher will also give you different royalties for different formats.
